2016. What a year. The world will not forget 2016 too easily but let’s not go there, this is a happy space! Personally and professionally 2016 was a very special one for myself and Adele. Our son Finn was born on Valentines day and life hasn’t been the same since. We are busy beyond belief but we are more curious, more content and more motivated to live life and to live it well. Finn is a ball of energy fearlessly confronting new challenges every day. Meanwhile we look on in admiration, exasperation and sometimes doubled over in laughter. Finn has altered our perception of the world which in turn has subtly changed our photography style. We feel really fortunate that during the busiest and most challenging year of our lives we got to work with so many amazing couples. Their warmth and kindness reaffirmed our faith in humanity many times over.
It’s our first time compiling a retrospective of the year and it wasn’t easy. We could just as easily have included another 200. After much deliberation, we whittled it down to the ones you see below. With family committments we kept it local this year so most of the photos are from Cork and its neighbouring counties. Hopefully, this post also showcases some of the amazing scenery/venues Cork and Munster have to offer. Feel free to leave a comment if you enjoyed looking through the images. Thank you, Shane + Adele.
