Grainstore Ballymaloe Wedding – Lyndy + Stephen

Grainstore Ballymaloe wedding

Lyndy and Stephen’s Grainstore Ballymaloe wedding. Having worked with couples from all over the world it was nice for a change to be photographing our neighbours, Lyndy Cantillon and Stephen Parker. We met Stephen first in his and Lyndy’s new home and then made the long journey across the road to Lyndy’s family home. Everything about the day was relaxed yet elegant and it was lovely to witness the close bond Lyndy and Stephen have with their family and friends. The ceremony took place in the atmospheric surroundings of the Honan Chapel, UCC. Following that it was straight to Ballymaloe […]

2016

2016. What a year. The world will not forget 2016 too easily but let’s not go there, this is a happy space! Personally and professionally 2016 was a very special one for myself and Adele. Our son Finn was born on Valentines day and life hasn’t been the same since. We are busy beyond belief but we are more curious, more content and more motivated to live life and to live it well. Finn is a ball of energy fearlessly confronting new challenges every day. Meanwhile we look on in admiration, exasperation and sometimes doubled over in laughter. Finn has […]

Andreas + Maria’s Kilshane house wedding

Maria Dorai Raj jeweller

Working with two designers that have an understanding for the creative process and trust you to capture their day in your style is like wedding photography nirvana. Maria and Andreas are two such people. The morning was spent in the gate lodge of Kilshane house which was a snug fit. It was a late ceremony so a lot of time was spent in the lodge but even though it lacks the grandeur of the main house it was the perfect setting to capture the warmth and intimacy within the two families. The civil ceremony took place in the unique atmospheric […]

Sarah + Grant’s wedding in Dunowen house, West Cork

dunowen house wedding

We love a big party but there is something special about a small family orientated wedding. For us, it’s a reminder of what the day is really about. Sarah and Grant are both from the US. When Grant was younger his family moved to Kinsale for a few years. So when he and Sarah decided to have a small destination wedding, Ireland was top of the location list. Both families stayed in Dunowen house for a week and it was the perfect spot to spend the wedding day. Previously owned by Noel Redding (bass player for Jimi Hendrix) there is […]

Clare + Keith’s Adare wedding

Clare + Keith. Two kind and creative souls that got married in the Dunravens Arms Hotel, Adare earlier this year. Both are members of Limerick band Randolf and the Crokers and should you wish you can listen to their music here whilst perusing their wedding day photography. Their personalities shone through in the details but for them the day was about so much more than that. From making sure everyone enjoyed themselves to the pride clearly evident in Clare’s face as she watched her students perform as a choir during the ceremony. More days like this please. Marie + Sean’s Cork city wedding

balloon sign wedding

We were flattered and very pleased when Marie and Sean asked us to photograph their wedding. Sean is a fellow wedding photographer, a sound fella, and a gifted musician. He hails from New Zealand which is where Marie and Sean’s story began. They eventually settled back in Ireland and sealed the deal last month surrounded by family and friends from near and very far. Marie brought her own unique and creative style to the day with lots of quirky but well thought out details. The humanist ceremony was held in the Triskel Christchurch. Afterwards we took a quick stroll with […]

Sinéad + John : Adare Manor Wedding

adare manor wedding photography

Sinéad and John’s wedding took place in Adare Manor this February. Sinéad is definitely one of the most organised brides we have ever worked with. The result was a wedding day that flowed effortlessly. The day had a relaxed feel which contrasted nicely with the formal setting. As always we enjoyed authentically capturing the emotion of the day. Opting for a colour palette of wintery whites with hints of gold & silver Sinéad and John paid respect to the season and venue! There was a consistent aesthetic throughout the day. For the meal the guests had what must have been […]

Lindsey and Eamonn asked us to document their wedding day and reminded us once again how fortunate we are to be doing this job. Lindsey grew up down the road from me and in my mind was always my little sister’s friend. So it was really special to witness Lindsey get married with such poise whilst still displaying the same mischievousness I remember from our youth. Lindsey and Eamonn’s family never lost sight of what they were all there to celebrate, embracing each moment and not sweating the small stuff! Mary + Dermot – Aghadoe Heights Hotel – Killarney

[03/10/14]  Mary’s family have a strong connection to the serene Aghadoe Heights hotel so it was extra special to be celebrating the wedding there. It rained a lot but dried up when we needed it to and we got some beautiful light. The view directly outside the hotel is a reminder of the incredible scenery we have in Killarney and all over Ireland. Dermot and Mary enjoyed the day to its fullest and trusted us to take care of the photography! We loved Mary’s look, the art deco touches (thanks to Dermot’s eye for design) and the orchid bouquet was […]

Gillian + Alan Ballinacurra house

We have been privileged to witness so many incredible weddings already this year. Gillian and Alan’s wedding in Cobh cathedral and Ballinacurra house was one of them. Gillian used her flair for design and diy making a lot of her jewellery herself and most of the other wedding details. She wore a beautiful Caroline Atelier dress. Alan is a gifted musician (check out Cookie and the Vaudevilles!) so music was a big part of the day.  After some really moving music during the ceremony Cara O Sullivan appeared on the balcony of the cathedral. It was fantastic to be able […]

MAREESA + EVAN

October has to be one of my favourite months to shoot a wedding, the light and colours at that time of year can produce the type of atmospheric look that we strive for in our photography. Mareesa and Evan put a lot of thought into their big day. It was an early ceremony so there was oodles of time at the drinks reception and there was a great atmosphere back at the Malton. All the planning didn’t stop M+E kicking back and savouring every moment, it was a super relaxed and fun day from start to finish. Other Vendors: Make-up […]

Deirdre and Davids Wedding in Alvor, Portugal

There were so many elements to this wedding that made it a fantastic day. The Portugese weather, ambience and delicious seafood definitely helped. All the guests seemed to embrace the opportunity to kick back and enjoy some sunshine and the wedding celebrations. Deirdre and David’s easy and friendly manner created a great atmosphere. The urban (church) and more rural (reception) settings were a nice mix.  The meal (too many courses to count!) and lively entertainment were the perfect end to the day.
