Our Wedding
ARE YOU AVAILABLE FOR OUR WEDDING?
To find out just go to the the enquire link below. Fill out the contact form and we will email you back asap letting you know our availability and prices. If we are not available we will send on some great recommendations.
WHERE ARE YOU BASED?
We recently moved back to our hometown of Dungarvan having lived in Cork city for almost twenty years. If you would like to meet us, have a chat about your day and look through some of our sample albums then please get in touch. If it doesn't suit to come to Dungarvan then a skype call is almost just as good.
HOW DO WE BOOK?
Once you have confirmed you would like to book SOSAC we will send through a booking form. The date is secured once the deposit (€300) and completed booking form have been received. The easiest way to pay the deposit is electronic transfer.
WHO ARE SOSAC?
SOSAC are me (Shane) + Adele. I take time to get to know all our couples, take nice photos and edit said nice photos. Adele works in the office designing albums and helps keep the whole operation running like a well-oiled machine. You can read more about us on the About Us page.
DO YOU TAKE THE STANDARD FAMILY PHOTOS?
Yes. I am mostly a documentary style photographer which makes the photography experience an effortless and enjoyable one. However, I know that family photos are important to most couples so I take great care when doing them. Limiting them to just the immediate family means it doesn't take up too much time.
DO WE NEED TO ORDER AN ALBUM NOW?
No is the simple answer. The decision to order an album can be made up to 9 months after you have received your images. That said, we don’t want you to consign your photos to digital obscurity and will attempt to woo you with our beautiful range of albums.
HOW MUCH ARE YOUR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY PACKAGES?
Please get in touch with us via the contact form. We will send on all the relevant info including our wedding photography prices for each of the wedding photography packages. All costs and what's included are clearly detailed.
ARE THERE ANY SNEAKY EXTRAS?
No. I believe in total transparency. I commit 100% to every wedding I book and want to do my job with integrity and build a great working relationship with every couple. I wouldn't jeopardise that by not being open and honest from the start.
DO YOU DO THIS FULL TIME AND ARE YOU INSURED
Yes. Im doing this full time since 2011 so I am now in my eleventh season. I have shot over 400 weddings. I am fully insured.
DO YOU HAVE A BACK-UP PLAN IN CASE OF SICKNESS OR INJURY ETC
I'm happy to put on the record that I have never missed or even been late for a wedding. I like to stay active and healthy which helps. Having said that, I have a wide network of photographers that I am in regular contact with should the need ever arise. I bring spare equipment with me to every wedding.
HOW LONG BEFORE WE GET OUR PHOTOS?
I am aim to have your photos ready anywhere between 4 & 8 weeks. During very busy periods this may extend to 10 weeks but never longer than this.
HOW DO WE GET OUR PHOTOS?
When your photos are ready I upload them to a private online gallery. From here you can download all the photos. They are all high resolution so perfect for printing at any size. Images are not watermarked.
DO YOU TRAVEL?
Yes, I have photographed weddings all over Ireland, in Spain, France, Scotland and the UK. I try to keep travel costs to a minimum and I'm very upfront about the exact cost.
HOW DOES THE ALBUM DESIGN WORK?
After you receive the link to your online gallery you can select your favourite images directly in the gallery. We use this as the basis for designing the album. When we have the design ready we will send you a link to an e-book so that you can look through the design online and insert comments on any page you would like to change. It's a very user friendly process.

WHAT WILL IT BE LIKE TO HAVE YOU THERE ON OUR WEDDING DAY?
By the time the wedding day comes around we will have gotten to know each other. Hopefully I will have gained your trust and you can focus on enjoying the day and won't have to think about me or the photography. Most of the day I'll be quietly documenting the story of your wedding day and you will hardly notice me. When I arrive in the morning I get to know your family but I also aim to be low key and discreet and this allows me to capture lots of fun and spontaneous moments. My priority during the ceremony is to document it discreetly from a distance. Family photos are well organised and efficient whilst keeping it light hearted so everyone has a smile on their face. The couple shoot is surprisingly easy and its actually some nice time out for you two. I'll be aiming to keep it fun and relaxed and will only occasionally ask you to look at the camera. Most of the time you will be looking at each other. How bad! After that you go back to enjoying the drinks reception. HOW WILL YOU PREPARE FOR OUR WEDDING?
I will send out a questionnaire and a 'Tips' PDF a few months before the wedding day. In that you fill in all the important details. We will then meet in person or via zoom/skype and get to know each other better and talk through the day in detail. I will offer lots of advice about how to make the day as enjoyable as possible for you and also how to make it photo friendly. I'll make a note of all the locations I have to visit. On the wedding day I will have my equipment and back-up equipment prepped and will be completely invested in your day. I will be energised and ready to get a beautiful and meaningful set of images for you.
WILL OUR IMAGES LOOK LIKE YOUR PORTFOLIO?
Of course, every wedding is different so I don't take a cookie-cutter approach. I want your images to authentically reflect your story but also to look beautiful and compelling. I do this through my use of light, composition, timing and the use of colour when taking the image but also afterwards during the post-production. I invest a lot of time and effort into every wedding so you can expect the same quality of work for your wedding.
I'M NOT THE MOST COMFORTABLE IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA. WILL IT BE DIFFERENT WORKING WITH YOU?
Most people say the same thing and then to their surprise it's not something that bothers them on the wedding day. Firstly, it' not my style to ask you to look at the camera very often. Secondly, I like to think that my manner helps people to relax. Hopefully it shows in the photos. Thirdly, I can usually recognise if someone is feeling awkward and will change it up and catch the in-between moment. The experience is a lot easier than you might think.
